Privacy Policy

The short version: the only personal information this website collects is your email address, and only if you join the launch list. The VIDBO app is designed so recordings stay on your device — we never see them. We don’t sell data, run advertising trackers, or use tracking cookies.
This policy describes how VIDBO LLC (“VIDBO,” “we,” “us”) handles information on vidboapp.com (including domains that redirect to it) and in the upcoming VIDBO app. Questions are always welcome at support@vidboapp.com.
The website
Launch list. If you choose to join the launch list, we collect your email address and the date you signed up. We use it for one purpose: telling you about VIDBO’s launch and, occasionally, meaningful pre-launch news. We don’t sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing. Every email we send includes a way to opt out, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time by writing to support@vidboapp.com.
Spam protection. The signup form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes limited technical information (such as your IP address and browser characteristics) to tell people apart from bots. Turnstile does not build advertising profiles. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details.
Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes technical request data (IP addresses, request logs) to deliver and secure the site.
What we don’t do. No advertising trackers, no tracking cookies, no sale of personal information, and no analytics that identify you. If we add privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics in the future, we’ll update this policy.
The VIDBO app
VIDBO is a video guest book: an event host sets up an iPhone or iPad, and guests record video messages for the host. The app is built to be private by design:
- Recordings stay on the host’s device. Guest videos are stored in the app’s private, protected storage on the device that recorded them. They are not uploaded to us — VIDBO LLC never receives, stores, or can access them.
- No account required. The app works without sign-ups, logins, or servers, and it works fully offline.
- Camera and microphone permissions are used only to record guest messages, and recording is always started by a deliberate tap.
- Hosts control the recordings. Guests record messages for the event host; the host is responsible for how those keepsakes are kept and shared afterward, and for following any local rules about recording at their event.
If a future version of VIDBO adds optional features that involve our servers (for example, cloud backup or sharing), those features will be opt-in and this policy will be updated first.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We receive transaction information needed to provide what you bought (such as confirmation that a purchase happened), but not your payment details.
Children
The website and app are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Guests of any age may appear in videos recorded at an event, but those videos exist only on the host’s device, not with us.
Retention and your choices
We keep launch-list emails until they’ve served their purpose or you ask us to remove yours, whichever comes first. You can request a copy of the information we hold about you (for most people: one email address), or ask us to delete it, by writing to support@vidboapp.com.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we’ll update this page and its “last updated” date. Meaningful changes affecting the launch list will also be announced to the list itself.
